What is BIOS?
Why do we need to fix the problem if we can’t access the BIOS? Frequently, many users keep using their computers without ever needing to access the BIOS elements. The BIOS, merely a ROM chip found on every motherboard, enables users to access the computer system at its most fundamental level.

What is Gigabyte BIOS Key?
A private company in Taiwan called GIGABYTE Technology produces and sells electronic hardware products, such as motherboards with Intel CPUs, graphics cards with AMD and NVIDIA GPUs, and other computer accessories.
One of the top motherboard brands is GIGABYTE. It has well-known motherboard series, such as:
- Ultra Durable (entry-level): This series addresses high working temperatures and other threats of daily life environments, resulting in the motherboard’s longer lifespan and more stable performance. It is also energy-efficient, moisture-proof, high-temperature-proof, lightning proof, and anti-static.
- GIGABYTE Gaming (Entry-level gaming motherboard): The GIGABYTE Gaming series has been formally incorporated into the primary entry-level gaming motherboard series following the merger of the Gaming 3, Gaming 5, and Gaming 7 series motherboards into the Aorus series.
- Aorus Gaming (High-end gaming motherboard): This line of products from GIGABYTE’s sub-brand AORUS, which competes with ASUS ROG Player Country, includes boards, monitors, notebooks, and peripherals.
You can use the GIGABYTE BIOS key to access the BIOS if your computer has a GIGABYTE motherboard. The motherboard’s EFI stores the hardware parameters of the system in the BIOS (Basic Input and Output System).
Its primary duties include starting the system, running the Power-On Self-Test (POST), loading the operating system, and saving system settings. The BIOS setup program enables users to change the default settings for the system configuration or activate particular system features.
You may occasionally need to access the BIOS to optimize your computer, fix issues, alter the boot order, etc. When the computer starts up, simply pressing the “Del” key will allow you to access the GIGABYTE BIOS. Press F8 to access the Dual BIOS setting after that.
What to do if Gigabyte BIOS Key does not work?
In Windows 8 and 10, a feature called fast startup is available. Your computer will go into hibernation mode when it is closed if you have enabled it. This feature prevents the [DEL] key from entering the BIOS during POST during PC startup to speed up boot-up time.
There are two methods you can use to resolve this issue:
Disable the quick startup feature:
- Go to System and Security > Power Options in the Control Panel after opening it.
- Choose what the power button does by clicking.
- Uncheck the Turn on fast startup option by clicking Change settings currently unavailable, then click Save changes.
Open BIOS using WinRE:
Only Windows 8 and later versions support this technique. Additionally, this method only works with computers that have GPT hard drives and UEFI boot modes, not MBR and Legacy.
- Go to Settings > Update & security > Recovery > Advanced startup, click the Restart now button after clicking the Start button in the lower-left corner of the screen, and then restart your computer. You enter the WinRE after restarting.
- Navigate to Troubleshoot > Advanced options > UEFI Firmware Settings in the WinRE window. The BIOS window will open after you click the Restart button.
